Israel's sees most severe cases of COVID-19 since start of pandemic

The Health Ministry reported Sunday morning that 993 Israelis were hospitalized in serious condition with COVID-19, the most the country has ever dealt with concurrently.
Health authorities conducted some 80,000 coronavirus tests on Saturday, 5,030 of which returned positive, meaning 6.3%. of all tested yielded a positive result.
Since the onset of the pandemic in Israel, 3,545 people have died of COVID-19.
