Iranian senior MP: 'About 7000 people arrested in protests'

The Speaker for the Iranian Parliamentary Committee for Foreign and National Defense, Hussein Nikiwe Husseini, told Iranian officials on Tuesday that so far about 7000 protesters have been arrested all over the state.
Earlier on Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the United States had received nearly 20,000 messages from Iranians about human rights violations during the protests by the Iranian regime.
According to reports, about 140 people died during the protests.
