Head of Public Health Services at the Health Ministry, Dr. Sharon Elrai-Price, said to the ministerial coronavirus Cabinet that Israel's exit strategy from the coronavirus crisis cannot rely solely on the expected coronavirus vaccines, since the vaccination requires two doses at intervals of a few weeks to be effective.
"The vaccines will arrive in Israel and will be distributed [to a significant portion of the population] in March in the earliest," explained Dr. Elrai-Price. "This is on the assumption that the vaccine is effective and that the public will seek to immunize."
