Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intervened to prevent Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi from traveling to the UAE on Monday to inaugurate Israel's new missions in the Gulf country and sign several bilateral treaties.
The trip was supposed to take several days after the PM's planned trip, which was canceled last week due to disagreements with Jordan over flying in its airspace after Israel prevented the crown prince from arriving to pray at Al Aqsa Mosque.
