An Israeli policeman was moderately woundned Wednesday in a stabbing attack at a checkpoint near the West Bank settlement of Ma'ale Adumim.

    "At 08:05am, MDA teams stationed in the Jerusalem area received a report about a person with a stab wound near Ma'ale Adumim," said a Magen David Adom first responder.
    "MDA paramedics provided medical treatment to a 20-year-old man in moderate condition."

    An initial investigation of the incident revealed the perpetrator initially hit the soldier with his vehicle then got out of the car and stabbed the 20-year-old.
    Other troops stationed at the Kiosk checkpoint began firing at the assailant, killing him.
    The Border Police said an improvised explosive device was found at the scene.
