Another seven people have died from complications related to coronavirus, bringing the country's death toll to 33, health officials have confirmed Thursday. The Health Ministry said the total number of COVID-19 cases in Israel now stands at 6,211.
The latest fatalities are: a 72 and 90-year-olds both hospitalized at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, 77-year-old hospitalized at HaEmek Medical Center in Afula, a 78 and 77-year-olds both hospitalized at Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon, a 95-year-old treated at the Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer and an 87-year-old hospitalized at Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva.
All seven were men who suffered from underlying health conditions.
The latter has contracted COVID-19 at the Mishan nursing home in Be'er Sheva where two other virus victims also resided. He becomes the third coronavirus-related fatality from the assisted living
Of the latest number, 107 people are currently in serious condition, another 127 people are in moderate condition and the rest have minor symptoms.
A total of 737 people are being treated in hospital, 720 are in specially designated hotels and 3,569 are being treated at home. The remainder are awaiting a decision on whether they will need to be hospitalized.
At least 241 patients have recovered.

On Wednesday, a 72-year-old man who died at Shaare Zedek Hospital from respiratory complications. He was posthumously tested for coronavirus, after which the results came back as positive. A 66-year-old man with underlying health issues passed away hours earlier at Wolfson Medical Center in Holon.
Earlier in the day, a 74-year-old man who passed away after being in critical condition at the Wolfson Medical Center near Tel Aviv. His death was reported moments after a 69-year-old woman had died in Jerusalem, both having suffered from underlying health conditions.
In addition, a 98-year-old woman who suffered from "serious and complicated" underlying health conditions. She was hospitalized at the Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva.
The woman becomes the second coronavirus fatality who contracted the disease at the Mishan nursing home in the southern city. The first victim was 93-year-old Avraham Arushas who passed away a few days ago.
Another 12 residents of the assisted living facility have also tested positive for the virus, with five hospitalized at the Soroka hospital and another eight at a geriatric medical center in Jaffa, in central Israel. At least three patients are in serious condition.
