An Israeli court has ordered Rabbi Yosef Mizrahi, who said publicly that Myrna Bennett, the mother of former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, is not Jewish, must apologize and retract his false statement, and pay compensation to Bennett and his mother. The decision, under which the rabbi will pay between 40,000 and 80,000 shekels, was agreed upon by both parties and approved by the court. (Gilad Morag)
