Members of Congress to Sec. Blinken: Hamas aims to build HQ in Turkey

39 members of the U.S. Congress from both the Republican and Democratic parties sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the Director of National Intelligence, expressing concern over Turkey's close ties with Hamas. The letter claims that Hamas leadership plans to establish a central headquarters in Turkey, a NATO ally, despite being designated a terrorist organization by the U.S. and the EU. The lawmakers requested a classified briefing on the extent of Ankara's support for the terrorist organization and what actions the U.S. or NATO might consider against Turkey if it is proven to be hosting Hamas.
