Lawmakers in the far-right National Religious Party are promoting a bill that would define the Palestinian Authority (PA) as backers of terrorism as long as they continue to pay stipends to convicted, jailed terrorists and their families. In the proposed legislation, the Finance Ministry will be able to impose sanctions on senior PA officials including banning entry to Israel, freezing of assets and prohibiting service and commercial deals with Israeli companies
