Iran has convened an emergency meeting with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, aiming to pressure Arab member states to "support Tehran's right to respond to Israel's actions," according to reports in The Guardian and the Arabic-language newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat on Monday.
The Iranian response to the assassinations of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah military chief Fuad Shukr may be delayed until after the meeting.
