White House special envoy Amos Hochstein announced that Israeli forces began their withdrawal Monday from the border town of Naqoura in southern Lebanon, more than a month after the cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah came into effect.
"The Israeli army began its withdrawal from Naqoura... and returned to Israel, south of the Blue Line, today. These withdrawals will continue until all Israeli forces leave Lebanon completely, and while the Lebanese army continues to deploy south to the Blue Line," Hochstein told reporters, referring to the UN-demarcated border between the two countries.
