The Lebanese Army announced Saturday it had thwarted an attempted rocket attack targeting northern Israel.
In a statement, the army said it received intelligence about preparations for a rocket launch toward Israeli territory. A raid was subsequently carried out on an apartment in the Sidon area of southern Lebanon, where rockets and launch equipment were discovered.
The military said the equipment was seized and several suspects were arrested. No further details were provided on the identities of those detained or the specific number of rockets found.
