The University of Pennsylvania has banned the activities of the Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) organization on its campus following its involvement in pro-Palestinian demonstrations on campus. "The group failed to comply with the policy regarding student organizations on campus, despite repeated efforts to communicate with it and provide opportunities to resolve the situation," the university said. The University of Pennsylvania is the second university in the Ivy League to suspend the organization's activities, after Columbia University, where violent clashes between pro-Palestinian students and the police have been taking place in recent days.
