Hezbollah confirms top military commander Fuad Shukr killed in Beirut strike

Hezbollah confirmed in an official statement Wednesday that its top military commander Fuad Shukr was killed in an airstrike Tuesday night.
"Our resistance views him as a symbol of our commitment to continue the jihad," a statement read. "He did not abandon the jihad until his last breath. His death will serve as an incentive for members to advance with determination and courage. Our political stance will be articulated in Nasrallah's speech tomorrow during his funeral procession."
Hezbollah's Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah is expected to speak at 2:00 PM UTC on Thursday.
