National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir claimed Monday that Shin Bet Director Ronen Bar ordered intelligence gathering on elected officials, calling it “a conspiracy to sabotage members of the security establishment.”
Speaking at an Otzma Yehudit faction meeting, Ben-Gvir denied allegations of extremist influence over police and accused Bar of working “against the will of the voters who elected me.”
He added, “He didn’t just go after me—he went after every one of my voters. He belongs in prison.”
