Lapid thanks Egypt's el-Sisi for truce efforts in Gaza

Prime Minister Yair Lapid spoke with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and thanked him for his help in mediating a ceasefire between Israel and Gaza Strip militants, Lapid's office said in a statement Monday night.
"Egypt plays a significant role in maintaining regional stability and security," the statement read.
