The IDF spokesperson stated that the IDF made adjustments to a designated humanitarian zone in Al-Mawasi near Khan Younis following intelligence of Hamas terrorist infrastructure in the area. This was discovered after terrorist operations and launches toward Israel were identified from the area. The IDF began evacuating the civilian population from the southern neighborhoods in Khan Younis to the adjusted humanitarian zone. It was reported that the evacuation operations are carried out through text messages, voice messages, phone calls, Arabic media broadcasts, and announcements. The IDF stated that "the early warning is carried out to reduce harm to the civilian population and keep them away from the combat zone."
