Health Ministry confirms no Omicron related deaths thus far

The Health Ministry on Wednesday said that no one has died in Israel as a result of infection with the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
On Monday, local media reported that a 65-year old man who was infected with Omicron had died but after sequencing conducted the ministry said the man who was suffering from underlying conditions before he was exposed to coronavirus was suffering from illness caused by the Delta variant.
