An Israeli airstrike in the Chiyah suburb of Beirut's Dahieh district on Saturday targeted Nabil Qaouk, head of Hezbollah's Executive Council, according to reports in Lebanese media.
The Saudi-owned television channel Al Hadath described the incident as "another Israeli assassination attempt."
The IDF has not confirmed the reports, and there were no immediate details on Qaouk's condition or the extent of the damage caused by the strike.
