Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri on Monday dismissed Israel’s latest hostage release proposal as an attempt to force the terrorist group to surrender, rejecting its terms outright.
“We are willing to release all of the hostages in one phase in exchange for a ceasefire and the withdrawal of IDF troops from Gaza,” Abu Zuhri said.
He added that Israel’s demand for Hamas to disarm is “not up for discussion and will not happen,” and accused Israel of failing to declare its commitment to a full ceasefire in the new proposal.
