Israeli delegation headed to Cairo for cease-fire talks, report says

An Israeli delegation is expected to arrive in Cairo in the coming days for discussions on the early stages of a potential temporary truce in Gaza, Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reported Tuesday morning.
While progress has been made in negotiations between Egypt and Hamas, unresolved issues remain, particularly concerning the release of Palestinian prisoners, the report said.
An Egyptian source said, "Cairo anticipates a breakthrough soon, though Israel may have 'surprises' in store."
