Israeli security forces, in coordination with the Civil Administration, dismantled on Thursday seven Palestinian buildings in a protected zone of the West Bank for the first time.
The area, known as the Etzion region, falls under "Area B" as designated by the Oslo Accords, granting the Palestinian Authority civilian control while Israel retains security authority.
The IDF said the structures violated agreements prohibiting construction in this conservation area. "Repeated breaches of these agreements necessitated a special enforcement order issued by the military commander," the military said.
