The Turkish Air Force destroyed 22 Kurdish PKK targets in northern Iraq on Wednesday, Turkey's defense ministry reported. The airstrikes were conducted in the Metina, Hakurk, Gara, Qandil and Asos regions of northern Iraq, it added. The air strikes happened as a result of the PKK claiming responsibility for a bomb attack near government buildings in the Turkish capital of Ankara on Sunday. (Reuters)
