Eleven of 23 anti-Israel protesters arrested during riots outside PM address to Congress released

Eleven of the 23 anti-Israel protesters arrested during riots outside Capitol Hill during Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address to Congress on Wednesday have been released. The protesters were accused of vandalizing public property, burning the American flag, assaulting police officers, making threats and attempted theft, but the charges were dropped.
Additionally, seven more protesters were released on probation, with charges likely to be dismissed. Local police attributed the low number of arrests to a manpower shortage, while the prosecution rejected criticism of a lenient approach toward left-wing or anti-Israel protesters, claiming that investigations into the violent incidents are ongoing.
