The committee examining the Police Internal Investigations Department (PIID), established following the State Comptroller's report, submitted its conclusions to Justice Minister Yariv Levin, recommending the removal of PIID from the State Prosecution and its establishment as an independent unit. The committee's conclusions stated that "PIID's position within the State Prosecution creates structural conflicts of interest." Levin responded that "the current situation is fundamentally flawed. I intend to quickly study the detailed report submitted to me and act to implement its main points."
