French government spokesperson Sophie Primas stated that Israel 'must stop the massacre currently taking place in the Gaza Strip.' She added that France has requested the release of hostages held in Gaza, Hamas disarmament and 'renewal of the Palestinian Authority.' According to her, 'These are the conditions for France's recognition of a Palestinian state.' She also noted that 'the discussions are actually progressing. Clearly, we are not publicizing them because these are extremely sensitive matters.'
