Singer Ofra Haza, who died 25 years ago, will 'perform' at the torch-lighting ceremony using artificial intelligence. The original plan by event organizers for the ceremony, to be held at Mount Herzl on Independence Day, was to feature a duet between Yardena Arazi - who was invited to light a torch - and an avatar of Ofra Haza, as part of the Independence Day theme "Bridges of Hope." However, since Arazi declined to light the torch, the ceremony producers were left with only Haza's figure - who will perform a medley of songs. Legendary singer Shoshana Damari, who died 19 years ago, as well as singers Uzi Hitman and Jo Amar, will also 'appear' at the ceremony.
