Izhar Lifshitz, whose father Oded was killed in Hamas captivity, criticized the Israeli government during a Unity Day event in Jerusalem. “I feel coalition members have forgotten their Judaism,” he said, referencing the state budget, which he claims fails to rehabilitate Israel’s north and south.
He also condemned what he described as cabinet members’ dismissive attitude toward the Shin Bet security service and the IDF chief of staff. “This is exactly how our enemies see us—torn from within. Apparently, they’ve forgotten what happened last time that was the case,” he said.
