A joint initiative of the Israeli Consulate in Chicago and the Jewish Federation of Chicago launched a special aerial display above their skies in support of Israel.

The display included over 500 drones hovering near the shores of Lake Michigan, above the Chicago skyline, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the State of Israel.
The creative aerial display last week unfolded the story of the State of Israel in the skies of Chicago, taking viewers through a journey from the Exodus ship, to David Ben-Gurion, to the aspirations for peace, and all the way up to the pride flag. The drones formed an outline of Ben-Gurion, the map of Israel, Masada, the dove of peace, the immigrant ship and more.
"The Jewish community in Chicago is deeply connected with love and appreciation for the State of Israel. We were very excited to participate in this amazing display of support, which reaffirms the exceptional bond between Israel and the U.S. This is one of the highlight events of the celebrations marking Israel's 75th anniversary in Chicago and throughout the Midwest," Yinam Cohen, the consul general of Israel to the Midwest. said.
Dan Goldstein, director of Public Relations at the Jewish Federation of Chicago, said: "The Jewish community of Chicago has always had a strong connection to the State of Israel. In honor of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of modern Israel, the Federation wanted to demonstrate this pride and connection in a strong and proud way. Having 500 drones flying along one of the most iconic coastlines in the world was a fantastic way to celebrate the event."
