Netanyahu meets security chiefs on hostage crisis as Hamas reviews Israeli proposal

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a situation assessment Wednesday with senior defense officials and the negotiation team working on the hostage crisis, his office said.
The statement noted that Netanyahu instructed the team to continue efforts to secure the hostages’ release.
Separately, Egypt’s Al Qahera News reported that Hamas is reviewing a new Israeli ceasefire proposal and is expected to respond in the coming hours.
