Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced the coronavirus vaccination campaign for children aged 11-5 will begin on Tuesday.
"The world, especially western Europe, is in another wave of coronavirus. We are determined to protect the citizens of Israel from the disease and its economic consequences. This is the wave of children - 49% of the newly verified are aged 0-11," he said.
"Our duty as parents is to simply protect [our children]. Take care of the them and get them vaccinated."
