Israel logs lowest tally of single-day COVID cases since January 4

The Health Ministry said Saturday that 12,562 Israelis tested positive for coronavirus a day earlier, which is the lowest single-day tally of new cases since January 4.
The ministry added that 822 patients are hospitalized in serious condition, of whom 256 are connected to ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 9,841 people have died from complications related to coronavirus in Israel. It is likely the number of deaths will reach 10,000 by the end of the month.
