Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke on Thursday with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the wake of the recent Islamic terror attack in the Kashmir region. According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, Netanyahu conveyed his condolences and those of the Israeli people to the people of India.
"Prime Minister Modi thanked Netanyahu for Israel’s solidarity with India during its time of mourning and emphasized that the two countries stand shoulder to shoulder in the critical fight against murderous terrorism," the statement further read.
The leaders also discussed advancing a joint initiative for a transportation and communication corridor that would connect Asia—with a route through Saudi Arabia and Israel—to Europe.
