Miriam Yarimi, who fatally struck an ultra-Orthodox mother and her two young daughters in Brooklyn , was driving with a revoked license and had a previous history of reckless driving, including 93 traffic violations.
Yarimi, 32, was behind the wheel of an Audi that ran into the family in Brooklyn on Saturday, killing 35-year-old Natasha (Sara) Saada and her daughters Diana, 7, and Debra, 5. Phillip, the Saada's 4-year-old son, was also struck and is in critical condition, authorities said. The three victims will be buried in Israel.
Yarimi received $2 million about a year ago, after winning a lawsuit she filed against the New York Police Department, the New York Post reported Sunday afternoon.
She was charged Sunday with several counts of manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and second-degree assault. She was also charged with reckless driving, operating a vehicle without a license under aggravated circumstances, failure to yield the right-of-way when turning right on a red light, and speeding.

Yarimi, a professional wigmaker, had accumulated 93 traffic violations and had been fined more than $10,000, including 20 tickets for speeding, according to reports. Her license plate read “WIGM8KER,” a reference to her profession, and she had posted photos of her vehicle on Instagram in August 2023.
She has more than 14,000 Instagram followers and has shared images of a lavish lifestyle, including vacations around the world. In a post last year, she wrote that she had been "completely broke" before receiving the settlement from a lawsuit she filed over an incident that occurred when she was 14.
Following the crash, social media users flooded her account with messages calling her a "murderer" and other accusations.

According to the New York Post, Yarimi was cited for speeding near a Brooklyn school on March 16 and had received 20 speeding tickets from traffic cameras since August 2023, along with five red-light violations and dozens of parking tickets.
The fatal crash occurred shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday in a heavily Orthodox Jewish neighborhood when a luxury Audi collided with an Uber vehicle. New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said Yarimi was driving the Audi, which struck the family after the collision.
