US CENTCOM commander visits Israel to strengthen military ties

The commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, arrived in Israel on Tuesday for an official visit hosted by IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, the military said on Thursday.
According to a statement, the two military leaders held a joint panel with senior IDF officers to discuss regional strategic and operational matters. The meeting was described as a further strengthening of the close strategic relationship between the Israeli and U.S. militaries.
