Israel lowers travel warning for Sri Lanka after threat assessment

The National Security Council on Wednesday evening lowered its travel warning for Sri Lanka, originally issued on October 23 over concerns for Israeli travelers in the area.
The council said that updated assessments, enhanced security measures and the arrests of several terror suspects had reduced the threat level, adjusting the risk to level 3 (moderate) in the southwest and level 2 (occasional) in other regions.
