Iran says two regime commanders, five officers killed in Damascus strike

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said in a statement late Monday that two commanders and five of its officers were killed in a strike in Damascus close to the Iranian consulate.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the Iranian Quds Force commander in Syria and Lebanon, Mohammad Reza Zahedi, was killed alongside his deputy, Haji Rahimi. In addition, Hussein Amir Allah, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Chief of Staff in Syria and Lebanon, was killed, along with two other Iranians.
