Israel's Discount Bank, one of the country's five major financial institutions, said on Monday that its board of directors has decided to refuse credit to any business or entity that will discriminate against any sector of Israeli society.
The announcement came a day after incoming coalition members from the Religious Zionist Party said they would amend legislation to allow services, including medical treatment to be denied, when offensive to their religious sensitivities, targeting the LGBTQ community.
