U.S. military says it strikes Iran-backed militia facility in Syria

The U.S. military said on Tuesday it had conducted strikes against an Iranian-backed militia group's weapons storage facility in Syria. "These strikes were in response to a rocket attack on U.S. personnel at Patrol Base Shaddadi. There was no damage to U.S. facilities and no injuries to U.S. or partner forces during the attack," the U.S. military said in a statement.
