Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed in his affidavit to the Supreme Court filed Sunday, responding to the one submitted by the Shin Bet chief, the central claim raised by Ronen Bar that he was required to obey Netanyahu rather than Supreme Court rulings in case of a constitutional crisis. This issue, which was central to Bar's affidavit, is not denied in the counter-affidavit. However, Netanyahu noted: 'Bar claims I demanded he obey me and not the Supreme Court, but there is no trace of this in the transcript he attached.' In other words - he did not explicitly deny that he asked the Shin Bet chief to obey him rather than the Supreme Court in case of a constitutional conflict.
