Religious Zionism head Bezalel Smotrich on Thursday ruled out the possibility of establishing a right-wing government with the backing of the Islamist Ra'am party.
"There will not be a right-wing government based on Mansour Abbas' Ra'am. Period. Not from within. Not from the outside, not through abstaining, and not through any other scheme," Smotrich wrote on his Facebook page.
Several voices on the right have ruled out the Arab party as a potential coalition partner since it does not recognize the State of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state.
Ra'am splintered from the predominately Arab Joint List alliance in the run-up to the elections for the 24th Knesset.
