Hamas official denies new demands made in talks

A senior member of Hamas told Al Jazeera on Monday that reports that Hamas added new demands in the negotiations for a cease-fire and hostage release deal were wrong. "We made no demands after we accepted Biden's proposal on July 2," Abdel Rahman Shadid said adding the terror group stands firm on its refusal to agree to an Israeli presence on the Philadelphi Corridor which was not part of the proposal agreed to.
