Opposition in South Korea called on members of the ruling party (PPP) to join them in a vote to impeach President Yoon Suk-yeol, following his decision to declare martial law in the country. "This vote is the way to protect democracy," they urged PPP members, who left the parliament in an attempt to block the vote. Opposition members are waiting for them, while approximately 150,000 protesters are outside the building demanding the president's impeachment.
