A Hamas delegation led by senior official Khalil al-Hayya departed for Cairo on Saturday, at Egypt’s invitation, to take part in negotiations aimed at reaching a ceasefire agreement, the terror group announced.
In a statement, Hamas said the delegation will also meet with Qatari representatives alongside their Egyptian counterparts. “We are open to any proposal that guarantees a permanent ceasefire, a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, an end to the suffering of our Palestinian people and a serious prisoner exchange deal,” the group said.
