Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi, the illegal immigrant who shot an ultra-Orthodox Jew in Chicago in late October, was found dead in his cell at the Cook County Jail. The local sheriff's office said that on Saturday he was found unconscious, apparently because he tried to commit suicide, but the official circumstances of his death will only be determined after an autopsy. The Illinois police opened an investigation, but it was reported that at this stage there is no suspicion of criminality.
