Bahrain, Iran agree to renew diplomatic relations

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain announced that it had reached an agreement with Iran regarding "establishing the necessary tools to start talks between the two countries and learn how to renew relations." It was also reported that Bahrain's foreign minister, Abd Latif al-Ziani, met in Tehran with Iran's foreign minister, Ali Bagheri .
