Syrian rebel leader says committed to 1974 disengagement agreement with Israel

Ahmad al-Sharaa, leader of the Syrian rebels and formerly known as Abu Mohammed al-Golani, criticized Israeli military activities in the Syrian Golan Heights, The New York Times reported on Monday.
In an interview with journalists, Sharaa emphasized Syria’s adherence to the 1974 disengagement agreement signed after the Yom Kippur War and called on the international community to ensure Israel honors its commitments under the accord.
