Former hostage Amit Soussana will be honored with the prestigious International Women of Courage Award, presented by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Soussana said in a statement, "I accept this award on behalf of the women who fought in the war and the women who suffered in captivity — who found strength in one another and helped each other survive the unimaginable."
First lady Melania Trump will present the award to Soussana at a ceremony on April 1 at the State Department in Washington, with Secretary Rubio in attendance.
