US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in an address to the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. referred to a possible nuclear agreement with Iran, saying that "there is no deal on the horizon." Blinken added that he calls on Tehran "not to take steps that increase tensions." He also emphasized that the US and its partners negotiated "in good faith" last summer to return to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action nuclear agreement, but Iran "did not know or could do what was required of it."
