The Health Ministry announced on Friday that it will lift a travel ban on destinations hard hit with coronavirus starting October 4.
So far, Israelis were prohibited from traveling to Bulgaria, Brazil and Turkey and required a special permit from a Health Ministry exceptions committee.
Israelis who have received their third shot of the coronavirus vaccine or completed the two-dose vaccination regimen less than six months ago and wish to fly out to one of these countries would have to take a coronavirus test upon their return and would be exempt from self-isolating if they test negative.
